Wan Lay Chi has broken the IVP Shot Putt record with a distance od 13.73ms breaking her previous record of 12.99ms. Congralutions to her. NYP Athletics have sent a team of six ( ONG MING WEI MARCUS, PHILIP S/O RAMACHANDRAN, LEONG JIARONG KEVIN, NAISH NAVIN SAMSON, SOO JIAN ZHONG GABRIEL AND PHUA HUI QIN) for the NIE Director’s Race Relay 2010. Each participant is to run a 2.4km. The team comprises of 4 alumnus and 2 current students. The team came in first for the open category! They did a total timing of 49 mins and 54 secs congratulations to the team!

31st July 2010, NYP hosted the inaugural POL-ITE Ultimate Tournament. Final game was played between NYP and SP to see who emerge as champions. After 1 hour of game time, NYP was crown as champions with the score of 7-3. Well done!
NYP hosted the inaugural POL-ITE Biathlon on 28 July 2010. Each school representative is to complete a 400ms swim and 3.6km run. A mixed team relay was also added in. NYP did well in the event despite not having a formalize team and coach in the sports. NYP came in 2nd and 3rd for Overall Men’s and Women’s category. Phua Hui Qin of SIT, our best female athlete in NYP Track and Field Team also did us proud to come in 2nd in the women’s individual category.

The NYP Dragon Boat Team recently took part in the Singapore Dragon Boat Festival 2010 over the weekend at Bedok Reservoir.
The team gave it their best with their hardwork and perserverance, achieved 24 GOLDS, 38 SILVERS, 14 BRONZES, 2 Plates and best of all the Championship Trophy being the Champs!
